At Broughton Primary, we have always been proud to support a range of organisations and charities.
In a typical year, our pupils, staff and wider families fund-raise or collect for:
- Children In Need;
- Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal;
- Link To Hope Shoebox Appeal; and
- Comic Relief's Red Nose Day & Sports Relief.
Sometimes we take part in other events, but don't ask for donations, such as:
- World Book Day or
- Christmas Jumper Day.
Other charitable events get lots of national coverage which is why we sometimes have to make a decision to not take part in those, particularly at busy times of the year or when we have lots of in-house activities taking place.
We also hold a fantastic annual fun run to raise funds to spend on the children in school.
